Singapore's Ice Hockey Team is in the Asian Winter Games 2017!

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Singapore Ice Hockey Association (SIHA) is proud to announce that the Singapore Men’s National Ice Hockey Team is participating in the Asian Winter Games 2017 (AWG) in Sapporo, Japan, 18-26 February. 

Singapore, in its first ever participation at the AWG, is competing in the ice hockey Division I, along with regular regional rivals Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, UAE, Thailand, and Mongolia. The team's first game is against Hong Kong on Saturday, 18 February at 12:00 noon (11:00am SGT). Games will be streamed online from the Asian Winter Games 2017 website. February-March is a vortex of Singapore Ice Hockey activity, with the Lions City Cup 2017 adult tournament 1-4 March, and the Scotiabank Ice Dragons Classic 2017 youth tournament 8-11 March, both happening at The Rink at JCube. The Singapore Woman's National Ice Hockey Team is set to compete at the  2017 IIHF Woman's Challenge Cup of Asia in Bangkok, 7-15 March.

Fuelled by passion for the sport, the Singapore Ice Hockey Association largely runs on registration fees from their events and ice hockey players pay most of their way to represent Singapore and garner recognition in their sport. So if you'd like to support them, read more below!

Singapore Men’s National Ice Hockey team’s participation at the Asian Winter Games and other upcoming competitions is largely self-funded by players, as well as by donations.

Donations are a lifeblood of many of SIHA’s programs and a great way for you to contribute to ice hockey development in Singapore.

SIHA is a registered Singapore Charity and an Institute of Public Character (IPC). We accept cash donations of any size to help champion the cause of ice hockey in Singapore. A donation to SIHA will result in a 2.5x donation tax deduction of your statutory income. Your donation will be registered with IRAS and appear in your following year tax assessment.

The majority of our donation funding goes to:
– Mens National Ice Hockey Team (2017: Asian Winter Games, SEA Games)
– Woman’s National Ice Hockey Team
– Development of youth programs
